Dr. Holly Donahue

Dr. Holly Donahue is a licensed, board-certified doctor of naturopathic medicine in the State of New Hampshire.

As a naturopathic doctor, my approach to medicine places emphasis on prevention and personalized care. Working with me will always be collaborative and give you the opportunity to give your body exactly what it needs so you can perform at your best and live a healthier, happier life.

I received my doctorate from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA, an accredited university in natural health sciences. I have done comprehensive training in healthcare at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health and with doctors throughout the northeast and northwest. Born in the Seacoast of New Hampshire, I am happy to be home treating patients with all levels of illness.

I encourage myself to find the true root of the cause in a patient's complaint, along with their uneasiness in health. I evaluate all pieces of an examination, per patient, including tissue marker type, pulse diagnosis, iridology findings, physical examination, lab work evaluation, and tongue diagnosis. All this information enables me to create a nutritional, supplemental, exercise, and therapeutic protocol specific to the needs of the patient. There are no standard treatment regimens with healing because I understand that everyone is an individual and each person heals differently.

The seven naturopathic principles are taken into consideration when establishing a treatment plan for each patient. These principles include: First Do No Harm; The Healing Power of Nature; Identify and Treat the Cause; Treat the Whole Person; The Physician as Teacher; Prevention; and Wellness.

I also assess the determinants to health in a patient's lifestyle, including sleep pattern, hydration, nutrition, exercise, and stress levels. I strive to encourage patients to make lifestyle changes to regain, rebalance, and enhance their health in the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual sectors.

I work to achieve whole wellness, not just being free of symptoms, so the root of the cause can begin to heal. I work to support the patient so nature has the ability to do the healing.

Lastly, patients are coached to find the time to do what they love and to be present with nature in order to nourish the soul.

“My goal is to help patients find joy in good health so they can perform at their best and thrive.”
